It is a guideline for which the average American should follow for a healthy diet. It has changed over the years. It is now called My Pyramid. It now is a new food guide pyramid, which includes for the first time daily exercise. It includes how many servings of each of the five food groups to be consumed in an average day. It recommends 30 minutes five days a week of exercise.


One category is food and vegetables, dairy, meat and protein, sweets and the new one is whole grains. Fruits are one, vegetables are the third. Sweets, meats and proteins are five.
