The first thing you can do is to take a walk back into time. If you want to see an authentic historic community, then the German Village is the right place for you. This village was started by a man named John McGowan in the early eighteen hundreds. Since it was restored, it's now over two hundred acres of Queen Anne style houses, businesses like antique shops, and much more!
If you're looking for a little more excitement, The Easton Town Center in Columbus has something for everyone! This center houses an amazing number of tenants that offer you everything from live musical bands to cooking classes for singles. There's also the Buckeye Ranch Film Festival, The Funny Bone Comedy Club and Cafe, and GameWorks, just to name a few of the places you can enjoy during your visit to this center in Columbus.
The Funny Bone Comedy Club & Cafe often features such popular comedians as Pauly Shore, Kevin Pollak, and Dave Chappelle. They also feature local comedians as well. You can grab a bit to eat there and get loads of laughs at the same time!
GameWorks offers visitors a place to eat, drink, play, and just have fun at. Besides Jax Grill, this entertainment center offers you interactive games that are brought to you by the gaming giant Sega, and Universal Studios as well!
Also located in the Easton Town Center is the ever popular Starbucks, Auntie Anne's Soft Pretzels, Cup 'O Joe / MoJoe Lounge, Godiva Chocolatier, and Nestle Tollhouse Cafe.
The next place you can visit in Columbus is a business called Speeds. Speeds is a fun place to go and race go carts indoors! As long as you are fifteen and a half years of age, have a driving permit, and stand at least five feet tall, then you qualify to be a racer at this half mile track!
All the equipment you need to race is provided by the track. That includes a helmet, a racing jacket, a go cart, track, a timer, and race track officials.
If you want to take a break from racing, Speeds also has a sports bar, a Billiards room, and a game room that's full of entertaining arcade games.
And finally, if you're looking for some more fun, you can tee off at the Columbus Municipal Golf course, which is a part of the Columbus Recreation and Parks. There are a total of seven locations to serve you throughout the city.
You can reserve a tee off time at Columbus Municipal Golf, play in special events, practice on driving ranges, or visit their Pro shop to purchase equipment that you may need. If you're new to the game, there are also instructors who will give you group or private lessons on how to play Golf.
