Romantic things to do and see in Arlington, Texas.

What are some fun things to do in Arlington for couples? Well to start with there are plenty of things to do outside. Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor are full of fun rides and shows to see.

If you like to play golf play 18-holes at one of the tree located in Arlington. Lake Arlington golf course, Tierra Verde Golf Club or the Chester W. Ditto Golf Course are all available.

Make a picnic lunch or pick-up some and go to one of the many parks sprinkled throughout the city. Try River Legacy

Park. Enjoy the sun, take a guided tour or bring your bikes to enjoy the bike trails. Also, stop in to see the Living Science Center's exhibits. There are even 6 pools to enjoy a day of sun and swiming located at some of the parks scattered around town.

There is also tennis at the Arlington Tennis Center. Don't forget Lake Arlington. Come enjoy the view and have a cook

-out. Play Putt-Putt golf in North and South Arlington. The south has batting cages and the north location has cars to drive. Love flea markets? Right on the border of Arlington and Grand Prairie is Traders Village. Open on the weekends with special events going on such as Chili cook-offs, Indian days and much more.



Is sports your thing?

Then there is the Ranger's at Ameriquest Field. Here you can view the baseball museum, have lunch or dinner at the

resteraunt and then catch a game. In 2009 the Cowboys Football stadium will be here so plan a football game. If you happen to be looking for something to do July 4th come see one of the largest Forth of July Parades in the nation downtown.

Want to stay inside?

Well there is plenty to do there too. You can catch a show at one of the many theaters such as Johnny High Country

Music Review. Spot a new rising star in the making; remember Leanne Rhimes started here. Also, Theater Arlington and The Creative Arts theater have shows year round. Don't forget to see what's going on at UTA. They have basketball, volleyball and theater there too. Check out the museums in the area as well. Arlington's oldest The Upstairs Gallery, Fielder House, and the Arlington Museum of Art. See some western art at the Frontier Gallery. Also, American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum has restored DC-3 to see. Along with that there are interactive exhibits, films, and historical items to view.

Other indoor fun things you can find to do are roller-skating at the Arlington Skatium, ice-skating at the Parks Mall, bowling at AMF Arlington Lanes, and even rock climbing at Dyno-Rock Indoor Climbing Gym. Want to see what it would be like to be a military fighter pilot? Try out the Air Combat school.

Now are you ready for a fun meal? You can enjoy a nice quiet meal at the Candlelite Inn. It's been around since the 60'.

Or try the neighborhood Gilligan's Bar & Grill, Hooters' (2 locations), Joe's Crab Shack, or Campo Verde for great Tex Mex. There are lots of places to choose from depending on what your hungary for.
