Fun Things For Couples To Do In Sacramento

There are tons of romantic adventures to indulge in in Sacramento, California.

Sacramento, California is a great place for couples to visit for romantic adventures! Forget about the boring old dinner-and-movie date; when you're in Sacramento, experience nature and have some fun making memories with your sweetheart. Here are some great places to check out:

Bannon Creek Park, located on 2780 Azevedo Drive in Sacramento, is a great destination for couples who live in or are visiting the area. There are bike trails that run through the park, and there are over a dozen picnic tables. Pack a picnic lunch for you and your sweetheart to enjoy together. For a small fee, you can use one of their small barbecues. If you have a dog, bring the pooch along - there is even a dog park within Bannon Creek. They also have a horseshoe throwing area set up so you can enjoy some friendly competition. A creek runs right through the middle of the park, so don't forget to take a stroll by the water, hand-in-hand.

Another great park in Sacramento is East Portal Park, located on 1120 Rodeo Way. They have a nice-sized picnic area, but it only has a couple of tables, so make sure to bring a blanket just in case the seating isn't available. It's just as romantic to dine on a big blanket as it is to sit at a picnic table! They also have a softball field, so have a catch with your date, or join into a game. If there's nobody around, make out in the dugouts!

The most famous park in Sacramento is McKinley Park. Bring your camera and take some pictures of each other and the incredible scenery. There is so much to do at McKinley - play horseshoes, baseball, soccer, or tennis. There is a beautiful trail circling the perimeter of the park so that you can take a romantic stroll or a ride a bicycle built for two. The most impressive sight to behold is the McKinley Rose Garden, which features a breathtaking display of more than a thousand rose bushes - spectacularly romantic!

The Sacramento Zoo has been around for over seventy-five years, and it's a great place to go for a romantic and unique date. Looking at animals - and smelling them - may not sound like a fun activity for a couple, but it really is. It's a memorable and fun experience that two people in love can enjoy together. There are also some especially romantic exhibits to check out, such as the indoor aquarium exhibits, which are lit dimly (adding to the ambiance). Pack lunch or get something to eat while you're there - there are plenty of food stands and picnic tables for visitors.

Scribner Bend Vineyards is a lovely location to go with that special someone. A wine tasting is a great pre-dinner date event, and wine just puts people in a romantic mood. Scribner Bend Vineyards is also a great place for a romantic and intimate picnic lunch. You can't drink wine during your picnic at a state park like Bannon Creek or McKinley, but you obviously can when you picnic at a vineyard! Scribner Bend Vineyards is located on 9051 River Road in Sacramento. If you enjoy the wine that you taste, buy a bottle and continue your date at home.
