Orlando has over a 160 challenging golf courses within a 45-minute drive from downtown Orlando. So we are certainly one of the largest golf destinations. We have courses that have been designed by some of the greatest golf legends including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicholas, Tom Fazio, Greg Norman, and Robert Trent Jones. Robert Trent Jones is a really famous designer. A lot of people don't really realize this but we actually have a PGA event here called the Bay Hill Invitational. It is held here and the FUNAI Classic is held here. So there are actually two PGA events held in Orlando. We also have a lot of golf academies including Arnold Palmer's golf academy at Bay Hill and Nick Faldo has this golf institute here. A lot of famous golfers have setup academies here as well. So if you want to come down and really hone your game, you can actually attend the golf academy and then play all the courses.

Golf courses include Reunion Resort and Golf Club. That's about 25 minutes from Orlando. It features three different championship courses like Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicholas. There is the Ritz Carlton Golf Club at Grande Lakes, Orlando. That is on the property with the Ritz and the JW Marriott here in town. They have their own caddie connoisseur's program where they allow you to bring along a knowledgeable golf attendant who offers course strategy and helps with everything from finding your balls to just giving you the general knowledge of golf courses education. Shingle Creek is the relatively new club opened in 2004 and that was designed by David Harman. And that's located right near the International Drive.
