Great Recipe For French Toast

A delicious recipe for French toast, with slight but important deviations from traditional recipes.

First break 4 eggs in a bowl. Beat and add 1/8 cup milk.

Add 8 tsp. sugar. Mix thoroughly.

Next pour vegetable oil into a pan so that it is 1/4 inch deep. Heat it, but do not bring it to a boil.

Dip a piece of slightly stale bread (do not use moldy bread) into the egg batter so that both sides are coated with egg.

Next, drop the bread into the pan of oil.

Cook that side until it is slightly brown, usually about 10-15 seconds.

Flip the bread and cook the other side.

At this point most people remove the bread and pour syrup on it. I recommend putting a pad of butter on top of the French toast. Powdered sugar is good too.

Once you've put a pad of melting butter on your toast, repeat until you've made enough or you run out of bread/egg batter.
