A guide to the best local restaurants in tulsa

Restaurant guide for Tulsa, Oklahoma, including some of the best and most popular local foods and eateries.

Tulsans not only love good eats but they also love the history of their city. A once booming frontier oil town has now become a cultural, social, and historic hub giving distinct character to every neighborhood within its borders. Not only will Tulsa satisfy your physical hunger but also your educational and exploratory hunger.

Following is a list my favorite places to eat in Tulsa and following that is a list of the most popular restaurants in Tulsa.

Casa Bonita is one of best Mexican restaurants around. Not only do you get great food, but also you get entertainment for the whole family. Some of the most favorite dinners are the all-you-can-eat beef or chicken deluxe dinner a featuring a crispy taco, two beef or chicken enchiladas, cheese enchiladas, Mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream. And they will keep bringing you more food until you are full! Appetizers are free and for dessert enjoy homemade sopaipillas with honey free with any meal. There is also a children's menu.

Ci Ci's Pizza is another favorite featuring traditional New York style thin crust pizza made fresh daily and topped with Ci Ci's own specially seasoned sauce and real 100% mozzarella cheese. They feature a buffet and 16 kinds of delicious pizza, pasta, salad and desserts. If you do not see your favorite pizza, just ask and they will be happy to make it for you. The service is great and so is the pizza.

Franks Country Inn has been serving good country cooking in Tulsa since 1972. They feature a 100 item buffet menu, a large salad bar, and perhaps the largest meat buffet in Tulsa. They have many desserts also. Some of the items on the buffet include:

* Baked and fried chicken

* Fried catfish

* Smoked sausage

* Roast beef

* Sliced BBQ beef

* Beef ribs

* Smoked Bologna

* Fried chicken livers and gizzards

* Pork chops

* Ham

* Chopped beef

* Fried Shrimp

All buffet meals at Frank's come with the 50 item salad and dessert bar.

Sonic Drive-In features carhops, American food and great service. They make burgers, malts, shakes, coney dogs, and much more and deliver your order right to your car.

The Golden Corral Family Restaurant features Bourbon Street chicken, pot roast, fried shrimp, fried fish fillets, homemade meatloaf, pork chops, and fried chicken.
