Hallways upon hallways full of artistic emotions on canvas or through sculpture fill the Cincinnati Museum of Art. Here you can find art from Africa to Asia and collections of costumes and sculptures from all over the world. With all this history under one roof, it doesn't seem so strange that this museum is the site of many unexplained events. Many of these paranormal events seem to occur during the evening when the doors have been locked and the museum is resting from its thousands of visitors. Employees of the museum report an apparition that can often be seen in the mummy exhibit. Unlike other apparitions, however, this one appears as a large black mass that has no distinct shape or features that seems to come from the exhibit and rise up into the ceiling above. Other employees have been awoken from their slumber by a hovering face that appears in front of them, glowing and moving about the room.

Imagine waking up in your hotel room and seeing your breath come out in clouds of frost. No, this isn't one of those cheap hotel rooms with a heater that hardly works. This is just one of the mysterious happenings at the quaint Country Hearth Hotel. The paranormal activity seems to be limited to room 331 and the room that resides directly above it, room 431. The room has several unexplained cold spots and the temperature often gets freezing, despite attempts by employees and guests to warm the room with the heater. The curtain in the room will be thrown open and closed without any provocation. Perhaps the most frightening event to unsuspecting guests is the overwhelmingly loud thumping noise that seems to come from the outside of the walls of the room. Many guests who have stayed in this room have often reported their belongings being misplaced.

Located at the Union Terminal, the Cincinnati Museum Center houses several different-themed museums, including the Cinergy Children's Museum and the Cincinnati History Museum. Legend has it that soon after the museum first opened its doors in 1990, there were thefts and burglary attempts. According to the story, one of the security guards on duty one night caught the thieves in the act of stealing some computers. She was killed by the burglars and some say that her spirit still haunts the halls of the museum, on eternal watch. Other employees report mysterious footsteps in the corridors and the sound of doors opening and closing when the museum is otherwise vacant. Some also say that one of the World War II airplanes in the History Museum is also haunted with the spirit of one of its pilots.
