Organs get affected. You can have problems with the brain and liver. There are a lot of different health affects but alcohol is poison and if taken excessively will create damage. Chemotherapy for cancer patients is a poison. It's a chemicals being pumped into a body to kill cancer cells. It kills everything along with it but used in a minimal dosage will hopefully kill a cancer cell without killing everything up. Alcohol is the same way. It's poison and if you have alcohol in moderation, it's not going to kill you. If you have alcoholism and drink alcohol in excess everyday, it will definitely have its negative health effects. Alcoholism is a deadly disease and I don't believe that enough alcoholics understand that.
