Health Tips: How To Boost Your Immunity

Information on how to be more immune. Important guide for your body and methods to improve and protect. Stay healthy.

The immune system is one of the most important systems within the body. It fights disease-causing organisms and bacteria that would otherwise try to destroy good cells that are within your body and cause all sorts of illnesses and diseases. So, it is imperative that you keep your immune system in excellent condition because of the special effects it has on your health.

The benefits of an excellent immune system include:

-Having fewer illnesses overall

-Having increased energy

-Having reduced stress

-Having a slower aging process

-Having a faster recovery after being sick

-Having better protection against cancers

These are a few of the reasons why the immune system is so important to your body and why it is necessary to keep the immune system functioning at its peak performance every day of your life.

The body has a set-up to naturally prevent organisms and bacteria from invading it and causing problems. First, the attackers (germs, bacteria, and viruses) have to get past the toxic oils that are on the human skin. When trying to get through the orifices of the body, such as the nose, eyes and mouth, the attackers must try to survive being destroyed by saliva, tears or nasal secretions. If any attackers do get in through the mouth, by the time it reached the stomach and intestines, acid destroys them. So you can see how well the body does on its own to prevent illnesses from invading it in the first place.

Once attackers do get into the system, an infection pops up and cells that are purposed to protect the body get dispatched (by the immune system) to fight back. There are many types of cells that are destined to fight for the body. Some fight infections and some just scout around looking for something to fight that the body does not recognize. So it is important to keep your immune system at its best all the time. There are many ways to do this.

The best way to boost your immune system is breast milk. If you were breast fed as a baby, then you have the best advantage over those who were not fed breast milk. Breast milk contains special antibodies that were carried within the mother's bloodstream. By giving these antibodies to her child, a mother is initially helping her baby to build up his or her immune system and fight off diseases and bacteria.

You can also boost your immune system by decreasing your alcohol and tobacco intake. These things are toxic to your immune system and can actually allow free radicals to take over and cause disease by destroying good fighter cells.

By eating a well-balanced diet, you can extremely boost your immune system. The best foods to eat that boost the immune system are yogurt, garlic, fruits and vegetables. You should also cut down on your intake of fats, and start (if you are not already) taking supplements that contain antioxidants. Zinc and Iron are also great supplements that boost immunity. But don't take too many supplements. Too much of a good thing can actually stop the normal functioning of your immune system.
