After supper fresh fruit, not dried. A lot of us limit our fruit because it's easy to consume a lot of calories if you are putting away fruit. And although it's right kind of sugar, it is high in sugar and you need to balance that out with some protein. Plus, they are going to come crashing off that sugar. Apples are awesome. Mixing the fruit with something high in protein like a non-fat cottage cheese or low-fat cottage cheese is good. Also, apples with low-fat cottage cheese sprinkled with cinnamon. And you can just sprinkle a little oatmeal on top of that.

Even low-fat strained cheese, regular cheese is high in fat. Always my joke is, a turkey sandwich on the whole wheat bread, mustard only with lots and lots tomatoes, no mayonnaise no cheese and you can have that. Have half of that at 10:00 a.m. and have half of that at 2:00. You get proteins, complex carbohydrates, very low fat and it's going to carry you through for a little bit. You put lots of veggies and a good ripe tomato and some lettuce in it. It's moist. And if you like mustard, maybe even hot and sweet mustard, to give some flavor, you don't miss the mayonnaise and you don't miss the cheese.
