The cellular shades definitely are most heat resistant and that is one of the best selling features for them. That cellular light construction just keeps the heat from coming in, in the summer but it's also great in the winter because it is going to keep the cold out. The wood blinds would rank second, wood is just naturally insulative. The least effective are the mini blinds, they are made out of the metal, they are not stopping anything from coming in or going out and in some instances it does attract the heat, which is definitely not what you are trying to do. Fading is another issue associated with heat. Most of the windows that they are putting in now have some degree of protectants from fading. The alternative wood blinds are guaranteed not to fade. They have that protective coating on them. The upper end wood blinds also have that protectant. Now the honeycomb shades, I have noticed overtime they will fade but they are fading on the outside and that's usually not a problem for people.
