CANCER THE CRAB (June 22 to July 22 ): Cancerians often find themselves being ruled by their emotions. He has a tendency to be moody, and can swing from one extreme to the next in a short period of time. In a typical day he can find himself riding through a number of highs and lows, and his ability to feel emotions deeply makes him experience them fully– the good and the bad. He is very sensitive to the feelings of others and often plays the role of the nurturer and caretaker with his family and friends.

CRAB/RATS: Born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996. A Cancerian born in the year of the Rat tend to worry a lot, and he sometimes can get tripped up with his concern over every detail of any given situation. Everything from finances, to his neglected laundry, to how a friend is recovering from a cold, plagues his mind. He is very inquisitive, and will likely want to know everything about a person when he is getting to know them– particularly a love interest. The Crab is very dependant upon his family for support and validation, and the influence of the Rat intensifies that. If he is not careful, nagging fears about what might go wrong could lead him to try to cling too tightly to his family and make him reluctant to go out and follow his dreams.

CRAB/OX: Born in 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997. The Crab born under the influence of the Ox will often be the person running the household in which he is living, if not as the head of the family, then as the person who makes sure everything gets done and everyone is taken care of. At work, he is the person people look for when something needs to get done, and will usually take on more responsibilities than necessary. This can lead to people taking advantage of him and shirking off their responsibilities, knowing that the Crab/Ox will shoulder them. The naturally emotional Crab will become more emotionally stable under the influence of the Ox. To a lover, he will be a faithful and romantic partner.

CRAB/TIGER: Born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998. The Tiger’s influence on the Crab makes him bolder and more willing to take chances. The ego of the Tiger is even more vulnerable when paired with the Crab’s sensitive nature, but the Tiger’s resilience helps to balance it out. He will be very devoted to any love interest who gives him frequent praise and reassurance. A Crab/Tiger is very likely to be an avid supporter of humanitarian causes; his deep concern for the injustices of the world and his strength and determination to set things right will drive him to help those less in need.

CRAB/HARE: Born in 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999. The Hare reminds the Crab to relax and stay away from that which makes him easily upset. The Crab/Hare has little tolerance for emotions such as anger or hatred, and tries to steer clear of any strife in life. He feels it too deeply and shies away from negativity to protect himself. He is usually very pleasant to be around, and will try to remain positive and friendly in all situations. He goes out of his way to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings. When he finds the right life partner, the Crab/Hare will be a very caring, giving, amorous lover.

CRAB/DRAGON: Born in 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000. The Dragon brings a great deal of grandiose to the Crab’s life, and much drama will unfold. While his ego is particularly sensitive, the Dragon’s influence will make him less sensitive to the feelings of others. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t care; a Crab/Dragon will always be looking out for members of his family and his close friends, and be there when he is needed. He’s not likely to be very sentimental, but when he does tell someone he cares, he is very sincere. Keeping his emotional outbursts under control will be a struggle for him, and if he doesn’t learn to do so he will find himself having much difficulty in his career and in relationships.

CRAB/SNAKE: Born in 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001. The Crab born under the sign of the Snake will always struggle to go against his nature and try to keep his emotions under control. The Snake does not like to appear rattled by anything and wishes to present a cool and collected exterior, so the Crab/Snake who feels deeply will usually try to bottle up his emotions and prevent them from getting in the way of his plans. He will avoid dealing with confrontation if wronged, but he will carry a grudge and not forgive easily. This can cause emotional distance in his relationships if he is not careful.

CRAB/HORSE: Born in 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002. The Crab/Horse is an empathic creature, and his emotional state will often depend greatly upon his company. He will tend to take on the feelings or mood of the person he is with. The Horses’s free-spirited nature will influence the Crab to be very impulsive and spontaneous, and he will likely possess a love and talent for the dramatic and written arts. In matters of love, the Crab/Horse will give his whole heart to the one he cares for and render himself completely vulnerable. This can lead to a lot of heartache, but if he finds a person who respects him and treats him well, he will be a devoted partner.

CRAB/SHEEP: Born in 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003. The compassionate Sheep will drive the Crab to be very mothering to everyone he loves. He’ll be there to care for you when you are sick or give you a shoulder to cry on when you are sad. He has a tendency to be defensive and over-react when upset or criticized. He is extremely passionate about letting someone know how he feels. When he is in love, there will be candle light, roses, chocolate hearts and poetry. The Crab/Sheep will not like conventional jobs very much– he hates to wake up early, follow schedules or do monotonous work. He will be more likely be driven towards the arts and be happiest if he seeks to make his living doing what he loves.

CRAB/MONKEY: Born in 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004. The Crab/Monkey can be emotionally fickle– one moment he loves something, the next he is indifferent about it. He is the most social of all the Crabs and likes to be at parties and gatherings, usually “performing” for people as he relays stories or sing songs. He has a flair for the dramatic, but it is all in jest. If someone is down, he’ll be the first one to try to cheer that person up. Working in an office, he will usually use his keen intellect to try to avoid work rather than get ahead. When he becomes interested in someone, he will pour on the charm thickly and indulge in expressions of sweet, mushy romance. He’ll bounce back fairly quickly from rejection.

CRAB/ROOSTER: Born in 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005. The Rooster’s influence on the Crab causes him to be something of a dreamer. He will love fantasy so much you might wonder sometimes if he can separate it from reality. He looks through life with rose-colored glasses-- even the pain, for he feels privileged to be alive and revels in his emotions. He loves to play devil’s advocate with people, and secretly delights in stirring up controversy– then steps away to watch the drama unfold. He will shy away from any tedious, monotonous work and seek to do things that challenge him creatively. He is much happier being his own boss. When in love, he will wine and dine with his partner in fine restaurants and spend many nights dancing until sunrise.

CRAB/DOG: Born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006. Crab/Dogs are of the most honest and sincere people you will meet. He doesn’t put on airs, he doesn’t play games– he tells you how he feels, and he wants to be told just as plainly how you feel about him. The Dog can howl, growl or bark when frustrated or upset, but that’s just to get it out of his system. For the most part, the Dog helps the Crab stay grounded down to Earth so his emotions don’t get out of control. Dog/Crabs are well balanced. He doesn’t like drama, and usually strays away from crowds in favor of small groups of old friends or one-on-one relationships. He just wants someone he can trust with whom he can settle down into a humble, comfortable life.

CRAB/BOAR: Born in 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007. The big-hearted Boar, when paired with the Crab, drives him towards taking care of others. He’ll lend a hand whenever you need it, will call to check up on you to make sure you are doing well. He’ll stay on the phone with you for hours if you just want to talk. He may not take his love interest out for fancy dinners or lavish them with roses, but he’ll treat his partner with the utmost respect and always make sure your car is working or you are getting enough to eat. When faced with decisions he can be very ambivalent, always weighing out the pros and cons of a situation and mentally pondering all the possibilities.
