Moms with babies do not have to stay at home alone Halloween with these clever costume ideas:

1. Pea and pod: Dress up your baby as a pea by putting him into a green bunting outfit with a green hat. Wear a full green outfit yourself with a similar green hat and strap the baby to yourself, facing forward. Add a few green balls to your outfits down the center of your bodies.

2. Kangaroo and Joey: Dress your baby in a “Roo” outfit from Disney’s “Winnie the Pooh”. Then dress yourself in brown and wear the baby in a front facing carrier. Find a kangaroo mask or hood for you to wear.

3. Angel and cherub: You can be a full-grown angel and your little one can be a cherub. Drape yourself in a flowing white outfit, and fashion wings and a halo out of aluminum foil and cardboard. You can purchase wings and halo costume accessories if you wish. Dress your baby in white as well with a similar set of wings and halo.

4. Baby and his Mummy: You do not have to put the baby in a restrictive costume for this one, but you may feel a bit tied up. Put the baby in typical baby clothing. Dress yourself as a “mummy” by wrapping strips of fabric around your arms legs and torso. You do not have to cover your whole body and head, especially since it may scare your child, but you want people to get the idea. You can rip up an old sheet, use ace bandages, or toilet paper to construct your costume. The toilet paper version may not last long.

5. Indian woman and baby: Find a long brown tunic for yourself and cut the sleeves and bottom hem into fringes. Wear an Indian inspired beaded belt, a headband and a feather. Put a similar headband and feather on the child and carry him in a back carrier, facing out.

6. The big pumpkin and the pumpkin patch: If you have several small children, you can use this costume idea. Purchase a large amount of orange felt fabric, plus a bit of black felt as well. Make orange tunics to fit on top of bulky Jackets (this is a great outdoors costume). Cut out the pumpkins eyes and mouth from the black felt and attach them to the orange tunics. Wear green hats and pants.

7. Clowns: Dress yourself and your child as clowns. Both of you can wear bright colored clothing, big shoes, and funky hats. Forgo face paints on the baby.

8. Batman and Robin: Purchase an adult sized Batman outfit for yourself, and dress up your baby as Robin. You will make a dynamic duo.

9. Hot dog and mustard: You will need to purchase these outfits at the costume store. According to size, it will make more sense for you to be the hotdog, and the child to be the mustard. However, you will get a few chuckles if you switch the order and make yourself the mustard and the child the hot dog.

10. Dr. Evil and Minnie Me: If you love Austin Powers’ movies, then you will know that this is a simple costume to create. All you will need is matching light colored suits, and bald heads. You should be able to purchase fake head pieces at your local costume shop. You can do a unique variation of this theme by dressing as yourself, and calling the baby your "Minnie Me”.
