If you are a resident of the great state of Oregon than you already know that this is the place to come for some of the best fishing you will ever experience. If you live out of state and want to go on the fishing trip of a lifetime then pack your bags and get a move on.

Some of the best deep-sea fishing can be found in Winchester Bay, Tillamook Bay or in Depoe Bay. Arrange to go on a charter boat where you’ll be whisked out to sea before the sun even comes over the horizon. Here you can catch all that your heart desires. Choose from salmon, halibut, squid, rockfish, tuna and you may even catch a shark. Make sure you have dressed warmly because going out in the Pacific Ocean can be quite chilly. Wear layers that way you can peel them off as the weather warms if it ever does. Make sure you also pack some Dramamine, as you never know when you might catch a bit of seasickness.

Some of the best salmon fishing can be found at the bountiful rivers in Oregon. From Spring to Chinook and Coho you might want to check out the Umpqua, Alsea, Siletz, Nestucca, Rogue and Nehalem rivers. These rivers offer you a ton of fish to choose from. Whether you like fishing for salmon, sturgeon, trout, bass or shad. You also cannot miss fishing in the Deschutes River, which is one of the most notable locations for fishing in Oregon especially for fly-fishing. The Columbia River offers some of the best fishing you will find for Sturgeon, Walleye, Coho and King salmon.

You can also go to Diamond Lake for some of the best Rainbow Trout fishing around. Another great lake for fishing is Timothy Lake. Stocked with Rainbow and Brown trout along with salmon. Any of these locations will give you memories of a fishing trip that you will never forget. You can go on a chartered trip or rent a boat and fish on your own.

To plan the best fishing trip you will ever experience jump online and do your homework. The Internet offers more information on fishing in Oregon than you will be able to completely digest. You want to determine what time of year you will be going on your trip. Two things you need to think about: if your trip will be guided by a professional and what type of fish you want to catch. Do not hesitate to ask your friends if they can make any recommendations. You can even ask anyone who lives here and they will more than likely be happy to tell you their favorite fishing location.

Once your trip is planned you need to make sure you have all of your supplies for the trip. You also will need to make arrangements for accommodations if your trip will be for more than just a day. There are plenty of places to stay on your trip from hotels to motels, cabins or if you just need a campground to pitch a tent.
