We are the romance capital of Connecticut. We are blessed with a wonderful variety of country inns and bed and breakfasts. We have 4 and 5 star properties in the area. We have properties that are relaying château. We have everything from a Victorian mansion in Waterbury and a historic hill section to a little country inn like Birches Inn and Boulders Inn on Lake Waramaug. We have the Manor House with beautiful two-dimensional stained glass windows by Louis Tiffany. We also have a very intimate bed and breakfast with a separate little cottage at Huckleberry Inn.
We have several country inns and large resort hotels that can accommodate and entertain a family reunion in a variety of interesting and diverse environments. The Delaware Outdoor Adventure Camp can also be rented out for a family reunion.
Waterbury chain hotels can go for $100-$150 per night. Five star relaying château country inns are $1000 per night. We even have two inns with PGA rated golf courses, so the price changes based on the type of property you want. You might find the Courtyard Marriott for $99, but you are not going to find an upscale country inn for that. I would say actually the price range would be between $150 and $300 per night. We have midweek prices which are usually less expensive, as is the winter and spring. Summer and fall are our peak periods.
