Step 1
Get into an Internet browser; either Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer will work. If you are trying to reach someone whom you already know has a Hotmail account and you already have one yourself, then the task is easy. Hotmail is integrated with Windows Live services, so once you open up your Windows Live Messenger service, you can see if those Hotmail contacts are online and send them messages.

Search the Internet in general, if you don't know the address of the person you are trying to reach. Open the search page Google at (see Resources) and see if you can find a web page for the person you are looking for, such as at a corporation or other organization. Such a web page will likely have the Hotmail account. This will only work, however, if the person you are looking for has an unusual name. Be sure to include the middle name if you have it and put the names in quotation marks.

Attempt searching in other places where the person you are looking for may have a web presence of some sort. If you have known the person for some time, think of the web pages on which he might appear. He may be on the pages for military organizations sports organizations or charity organizations. Such pages may have the Hotmail address, or may lead to a page that does.

Use one of the free Internet pages that searches for email addresses by name. One is White Pages.com. On the "Reverse Lookup" tab, you can enter the first name, last name and age of the person you are looking for. The site will search for her Hotmail account (or other email account).

Step 5
Repeat the same trick on another such web page, like Emailfinder.com. There are a number of similar web pages and they all function in essentially the same way.
