Suggestions work for everyone whether hypnosis does or not. There is probably a degree of people out there who are so skeptical that their brain would stop them from engaging the creativity of their own mind. It only works if the person being hypnotized believes it will work. Also if a person doesn't have an IQ of at least 70 it's not going to work, because hypnosis works with concentration. Research is shown that the more intelligent a person is, the better hypnosis is going to work for them. It's probably not going to work for somebody who isn't able to concentrate or who has a mental illness and can't stay focused.
