Just have nice quality food and then after eating, rinse off the piercing well with water and Listerine or with the mouth care products. It can take as long as eight weeks to heal enough for swelling or soreness to go away. Do rinse well after eating and use the mouth product for a while. Getting your tongue pierced could affect your teeth. When you whip your tongue around with the piercing clicking against your teeth, you could crack the teeth. If you bite down on it, you could hurt your tongue and the teeth.
