How to Install Lexmark 7000 Printers

    Lexmark calls its 7000-series printers Jetprinters. Though the printers are no longer for sale, the ink and other accessories necessary to keep them working are still available. Rather than buy a new printer when upgrading your computer, you can install a Lexmark 7000 you already own.
    Lexmark 7000 JetPrinter

    • Step 1

      Boot up your computer and navigate to the Lexmark 7000 printer support page (see Resources).

    • Step 2

      Click on "Download Driver." Select your operating system and download the driver to a convenient location, like your desktop.

    • Step 3

      Install the driver by double-clicking on the downloaded file.

    • Step 4

      Attach the Lexmark 7000 printer to your computer by plugging the USB cable into a free USB port on your computer.

    • Step 5

      Turn on the printer and check installation by printing a test page. Click on "Control Panel>Printers>Properties>Maintenance>Print Test Page."
