Installing a storm door is a 'do it yourself' project. I would say a person, with an average skill sets for do yourself projects, could install a storm door. They need some basic tools of course. A cordless drill is usually a good thing to have. A person who has a cordless drill is probably capable of hanging a storm door. There is some cutting involved. The door actually attaches to the existing opening in your home. So, it needs to attach to the brick mold that surrounds your front or back door. This is very common. Every prime door, for the most part, has some type of a molding around it. The storm door attaches to the molding. The only cutting that would be involved is the trim pieces of the storm door itself. However, you are doing no adjustments to your entry way for the most part. It is fairly simple. There are attachments of screws and fasteners that have to be done, but instructions are fairly explicit and simple. Normally, installing a storm door is a 2-3 hour process at a comfortable pace. So, it doesn't take too long.
