The main difference between residential and commercial is because you are dealing with flat surfaces. With automobiles you're dealing with the curved surface. The adhesives are generally different in this respect. When you're dealing with the curved surfaces, you have to have an aggressive adhesive to hold the contour of the glass. You've seen how car window film works. For example, the back glass changes color, and then it starts to peel off from the back window. It peels and gets bubbles everywhere. The pressure is at its greatest on the adhesives. It starts to breakdown. When you are dealing with flat surfaces you don't have to have an adhesive that's as aggressive.
