Instructions for Refilling Computer Ink Cartridge for HP C9363W

By Catherine Johnson

  • Overview

If you use your HP C9363W printer frequently, you probably have to replace your color ink cartridges several times throughout the year. Rather than purchasing an expensive new cartridge each time you run out of ink, it is cheaper and easier to refill the cartridge instead. Reusing your plastic cartridge is better for the environment, and using bulk printing inks allows you to conveniently refill your cartridge on demand.
Easily refill the color cartridge for your HP C9363W printer.
    • Step 1

Remove the empty color ink cartridge from your HP C9363W printer. Place it on the paper towels.
    • Step 2

Peel off the sticker label on the cartridge top. There should be five holes underneath.

    • Step 3

Hold the cartridge so that all of the holes are facing upward. Turn the cartridge so that the single hole is farthest away from you. The group of four holes should be closest to you.
    • Step 4

Gently insert the pin or unbent paper clip into the single hole, and into the holes that are the closest to you on both the left and right. See what color belongs to each hole.
    • Step 5

Fill the syringe with 6 ml of ink. Completely insert the syringe needle into the corresponding hole for that color. Make sure the needle tip reaches the bottom of the hole.
    • Step 6

Inject the ink very slowly into the hole until the inside sponge fills up.
    • Step 7

Reapply the sticker label over the holes.
    • Step 8

Hang the ink cartridge over the paper towels for several hours to catch any drips from the print head. The cartridge should not directly touch the paper towels.
    • Step 9

Place the refilled cartridge back into your HP printer.
