Yes, you don't want any jewelry to dingle dangle in a business situation. You want to be careful about jewelry. You want to be conservative rather than flamboyant unless you work in an art museum. Then they expect creativity in your outfit. If you work for a book publishing company, an antique shop or a little dress shop that has retro clothing that is when you can be flamboyant. Then is when you want to dress the part. There is a neat rule that I have for people and I nicknamed it bottoms up. If you have two pieces that go together and should look good together, but you put them on and it just doesn't quite zing. For example, you have pair of black pants and a turquoise blouse; well repeat the bottom color as a solid color accessory. It looks magical and I call that bottoms up. It also works with a three color outfit. You always take the bottom color and repeat it in a solid color accessory like a scarf or jewelry. Earrings aren't big enough to do the trick. Remember you are taking that bottom color and bringing it up to the face. Simple, it puts it all together.
