I think it's the largest man-made lake in the country. The Water Wonderland with 220,000 acres of water and 3400 miles of unspoiled shoreline is 20 minutes from downtown Murray. The land between the lakes, which is the little strip of land between the two waters, is a 170,000 acres of untouched wilderness. They have also gone in and made a buffalo range over there and they have done a "home place" which is a circa-1800 farm where people can go and see what it was like to live in the 1800's. They have animals to help them on the farm, they have built log cabins and they plant tobacco and different crops and they let people come over and see what it was like 200 years ago. There is camping, hiking, fishing, and boating in that area. We have catfish, bass, crappie and buffalo fish. You can rent pontoons, jet skis, canoes, and I think you can rent camping equipment.
