It is called porch and deck paint. It has a Urethane finish. This is the only type of paint you can really use on floors other than acid stains on concrete. But on porches and stuff like that, you would need a Urethane enamel finish that is durable. You can put weight on it or scuff it up. It won't alter it.
If you are doing concrete, you have got to edge it out first. You have to clean the floor first, before you apply the Urethane finish. You can get it in different colors. With porch paint, on the wood itself, I would use soap and water to clean it really good. If you are going to use a stain, there are some Urethane stains that you can use. Just remember, you have to use something that will withstand the pressure and weight of walking on it.
Depending on how much traffic you put on this paint, it will last long. If it is under a porch, it will probably last longer than if it is exposed to the weather elements. I would think it would last anywhere from two to four years. UV rays affects it too.
