There's the Roycraft in East Aurora, which is a truly historic property - it dates back to 1905. It is done in the arts and craft style and it has been completely restored. It's a one of a kind place with beautiful accommodations, wonderful restaurants, and murals on the walls. It's a very distinctive hotel property and an absolutely charming little village.
In the City of Buffalo there's the Mansion on Delaware, which is a 28 room boutique hotel and is located in a building that dates to 1869. It's been completely restored and has fantastic woodwork and interesting period details. Many of our guests who come to town on business prefer to stay there. It has 24-hour butler service and your every need is taken care of. It has fantastic ambiance and is a beautiful place.
There is also a beautiful bed-and-breakfast in Buffalo called Beaufleuve, which is French and means beautiful river. Some people say that's how Buffalo got its name. When the first French explorers came through here they looked at the Niagara River and they said "beaufleuve!" (beautiful river) and it was later turned into Buffalo. Whether that's actually true or not, I don't know, but it's one of the stories that people tell about the naming of Buffalo. The inn is located in the Elmwood Village section of Buffalo.
There is a Hampton in downtown Buffalo that is situated in another historic building.
And there is also a Marriott.
