How to Last Longer in Bed

By Hannah Rice Myers

  • Overview

Most everyone enjoys sex. A lot. So much, in fact, that they want it to last until the sun comes up. For some though, those dreamy all-nighters are just that--a dream. They suffer repeatedly from premature ejaculation, no matter how hard they try to control it. Not only does this ruin the evening for them, leaving them embarrassed, it often leaves their partner feeling unsatisfied. However, there are ways to improve the length of time you last in bed. All it takes is a little practice.
    • Step 1

Train yourself. The best way to do this is to masturbate. You can bring yourself to the edge of an orgasm, and then stop, allowing your arousal to dwindle before beginning again. You need to repeat this as many times as possible until orgasm is inevitable. Doing this helps you learn control and enables you to practice your willpower.
    • Step 2

Masturbate first. While in Step 1 you masturbated to practice your control, in this step you will be masturbating to achieve an orgasm before your sexual encounter. A man cannot generally have a second orgasm as quickly as he had his first, so if you masturbate immediately before intercourse, your time in bed should last much longer than usual.

    • Step 3

Remove your penis. During your sexual encounter, remove your penis from your partner more than once. This is another method used to help you practice control and is a great teaser for your mate, as well. Once you feel your excitement drop a bit, re-enter her and begin thrusting again.
    • Step 4

Give her control. During your time in bed, give her control for a while. Let her get on top of you and set the pace. When men are on top, they have a tendency to come quicker, so by handing the reins over to her, you can relax and allow her to pleasure herself, while simultaneously slowing down the speed just enough to keep you going that extra mile.
    • Step 5

Change positions frequently. This not only allows you to try new, and sometimes naughty, positions, but the stopping and starting allows the slow-down, speed-up pace your hormones need to keep the drive alive. It is almost a given that once you start becoming creative, you will continue being creative. This will lead to longer lovemaking.
