Drew Barrymore has been in the world of Hollywood since age six when she had her first major role in E.T. Her style has been copied and revered for over 15 years as she grew up in the world of Hollywood. She has had ever-changing hairstyles throughout her years as a major movie star. Not only has Drew had several different hairstyles, but she has also had every hair color imaginable – from red to brunette to blonde to black. She’s done it all! When Drew was younger, she tended to keep her hair shorter and darker. But as she has gotten older, her tresses have gotten lighter and longer, helping her to look younger by the day!
While Drew’s preferred hair shade is actually red (she thinks redheads are beautiful and enjoys spending time trying to find the “perfect” shade of red for her hair), her hair has recently been a very natural looking blondish brown. It is only in the past couple of years that Drew has allowed her hair to grow out past shoulder length. For several years before that, she kept it above her shoulders, usually around chin length. Her style these days is definitely no muss, no fuss, keeping it easy and quick to fix. Recently, she has been seen sporting a slightly bed head look with her naturally wavy hair long and wind-tossed. If your hair is naturally wavy, this look can be copied by finger tousling your hair as you blow dry. Once it is dry, apply a touch of hair spray to make the look stay all day. If your hair is naturally straight, blow dry your hair upside-down. This will add needed volume. Then, roll large sections of hair onto large Velcro rollers. Allow to set for at least 20 minutes. Take the rollers out and lightly mist with hair spray. Drew is also a big fan of hair accessories, especially flowers. She often tucks a single fresh flower such as a bud or an orchid behind her ear for movie premieres and other events that she attends.
As far as jewelry goes, Drew tends to keep her selections sweet and simple. Usually, her accessories can be seen in her hair, such as the flowers that we discussed earlier. However, she does occasionally add jewelry to spice up her outfits. Most of the time, it is understated and subtle so as not to take away from her natural beauty. In most pictures taken at movie premieres, awards shows, and other celebrity events, Drew hardly ever even has any earrings on! Any other jewelry she has on, if any, is usually very subtle such as a small gold heart locket worn with white pants and a flowy black and white printed top. Drew has also been known to wear a brooch on one or two occasions when she is wearing a suit or a blazer. This is pretty much the extent of Drew’s jewelry style. She lets her clothes and hair do the talking!
