If you’re afraid of getting bangs cut because you have horrible visions of how they’ll look as they go out, don’t fret. With these tricks nobody will even notice you’re hair is going through stages.

The Right Cut

Never cut bangs too short because when you do want to grow them out, it will take much longer. Short bangs rarely work on adults. Also, beware of bangs that are too thick. It will make it harder for you to hide them in the "in between" stages and can make you look like your child.

Be sure to go to a professional when cutting bangs, even if you think you can do it yourself. You’d be surprised at how many cut-at-home jobs turn out bad. Growing out bangs right starts with the right cut. Tip: If you’re fickle with your hair and love to change your look often, ask to have them cut right above the eyebrows. This is not too short and not too long. This is the perfect place to start, if you think you will grow them out soon. If not, just get trims every so often to keep up the look. Also, keeping up with trims will ensure that your bangs are growing out evenly.

You Have “Bang” Options

You can sweep your bangs to the side or pull them completely off your face as they grow. A non-greasy promenade hair cream is a must to help secure your locks in place.

For example: Day one – keep the bangs with your hairstyle today. Day two – side sweep them. Be sure to use a hair cream when your hair is wet, so they stay in place. Day three – wear a ponytail with no bangs. Secure your bangs in place with bobby pins. Day four – wear your hair down and work your bangs into the rest of your hair when wet. Your bangs will disappear into your hair and nobody would even guess you have them in the first place. Day five –wear the bangs again! If you notice, bangs can actually give you more options when it comes to changing your look often.

Clip Them

Make cute little hair clips your best friend. Glittering clips, such as designer Tarina Tarantino's fancy hair clips would be perfect. Not only will people not notice your growing-out-bangs, but also your clips will be the center of attention. If these types of clips are not your style: bobby pins are a great way to secure bangs into place as they grow out.

Why You Should Love Them

It could stop you from getting Botox. If want to get Botox because of your forehead crease, stop right there. Bangs can hide a multitude of sins (some of which other people don’t even notice).

Bangs can also make women look younger. And, is a great way to freshen up your hairstyle, if you can’t handle a huge change. The best part about having bangs is that you can change up your look often. One day, show off your cute bob with bangs, the next slick them back with a chic headband. The possibilities are endless.

Lastly, bangs look great on anyone at any age. Growing them out and looking great is easy.
