If the only time you see your family is at fly-by events like birthday parties or graduations, or if you hardly see your family members because everyone lives clear across the country, then a family reunion might be in order. This is a party where family members both far and wide, from cousins to aunts to great grandmothers, meet at a central location and have fun reminiscing and waxing nostalgic. Food is eaten in abundance while stories about your Uncle Jack and his childhood exploits are laughed over. If you are responsible for designing the family reunion invitations, here are some free wording samples and templates to help inspire you.

Within the invitations, you will want to naturally include the dates and times of the reunion. If the reunion will be spanning several days or an entire weekend, indicate this on the invitation. If your relatives will be needing certain types of clothes (for example, if you will have access to a swimming pool or if you are having a 60s inspired dance), be sure to note this on the invitation. Since some relatives may have lost touch with the family, do not forget to include your phone number and/or e-mail address. Since family reunions are normally large affairs, sometimes each family is asked to contribute some money (or a dish for a potluck, if it is a smaller reunion) to cover the costs of renting a venue. This will also need to be on the invitation. Finally, if possible, if the reunion will span a few days and many guests will be driving or flying from out of town, include local hotel information or phone numbers.
