What bride doesn’t want to have the wedding of her dreams. Your wedding day is an incredible day, but before that day gets here there are so many details that need to be taken care of. You can make your wedding as simple or detailed as you want it to be.
To make that special day even more memorable you can make your own wedding favors. It can be so much fun to make and everyone will love to take home a remembrance of that special day and the happy couple.
Below you will find five of my favorite ideas for making your own wedding favors. There are so many more wedding favors that can be made - I hope these get you inspired to make some beautiful gifts for your guests:
• My first idea is to make a pear box. Find a pear shaped candle or soap and place it on white shredded paper inside a clear box. Top the box with a beautiful white bow. Include a tag on the box with the bride and groom’s name, wedding date, and a poem or verse saying that they make the perfect pair (pear). Put one at each persons place setting.
• My second idea is purchasing clear heart shaped petal pockets. Fill the pockets with beautiful red rose petals of whatever color matches your wedding colors. Complete the pockets with a pretty bow. These can be placed at each persons place setting at the reception.
• My third idea is to make a message in a bottle. Purchase clear antique bottles or odd shaped bottles that have corks in the top. Put scented flowers (or flower petals) in the bottom of the bottle and include a romantic poem or verse printed on parchment paper. When the cork is removed, you will have a nicely scented note.
• My fourth idea is to make a paper doily cone and fill it with rose petals. Purchase round paper doilies and cut each doily in half. Roll each half into a cone shape. Fill the cone with rose petals. As the bride and groom leave, each guest can grab a cone and toss the rose petals at them.
• My fifth idea is make flower topped boxes to hold wedding favors. Purchase small candy boxes and top them with pretty silk flowers. Cut silk flowers off their stems and hot glue them on top of the small boxes. Place a few boxes together in the center of each table to make it look like a flower arrangement. Put almonds of some type of candy or small trinket in each box for your guests to take home with them.
Making your wedding favors well in advance of the wedding day with make the big day go that much better. Having something for your guests to take home that you made for them will make them remember what a wonderful time they had on your wedding day. Hopefully some of these ideas will get you inspired to start making wedding favors for the upcoming big event.
