Most of the large Casinos have a range of dining options, but it is better to step out and get some local city flavor from specialty and unusual restaurants. However an exception is necessary for the La Strada in the Eldorado, for it is a simply outstanding Italian restaurant in its own right. The pasta, meat and seafood are all from the top drawer of this genre of cuisine.

The menu has some splendid desserts to round off a great meal. Choices Express Café, also on N. Virginia Street, has an unusually European setting for Reno and makes for a meal with a difference in this city of plenty. The menu has broad offerings of both meat and seafood and this makes it a good choice if you are a large group with varied eating preferences.
The Grill on N. Virginia Street has a young and friendly crowd and features Californian cuisine. Sterlings Seafood Steakhouse is a place with a special atmosphere and efficient service to go with an appetizing menu of meats and seafood. The Sunday brunch is an excellent choice.
