How Long Does Carpet Last?

How long does carpet last? A carpet's life depends on its use, and the higher price you pay, the better chance your carpet will last longer. That depends on what you buy, and how you use it. There are still...

That depends on what you buy, and how you use it. There are still some carpets coming in that have been down since 1970s, and they are still in good shape. They are ugly, but still very durable. If they were well made, they are going to be around awhile. Carpets, like anything else, depend. You get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap product, it is going to be a three, four, or five year carpet. If you buy a better piece of carpet and know how it is constructed, it can last you 10, 15, or 20 years. Our Flooring America system has a particular series of carpet called Downs Decade, and it has the finest warranty there is. There is no other warranty that is better than that. For all intents and purposes, it is a lifetime type of thing.
