There are parks in general for visiting children. West Hollywood is very family friendly, but it doesn't necessarily have attractions or an ambience conducive to entertaining kids for a long period of time. There are not open spaces as you find in the beach or city. There are not entertainment climates where you will find a theme park based destination. There is Universal Studios, museums, and the beach close by. In West Hollywood, it's very difficult to find activities for children because it's such an adult oriented destination. I think the closest thing would be parks. There are a lot of things for kids to do in Los Angeles like the Grove, which has a lot of movie theaters and a lot of different shops and boutiques and things to do for kids. LA is not getting the right amount of credit for the amount of museums and culture. There's Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Disneyland, California Adventure, the beach, the Santa Monica Pier, and things like that. So in general, LA is perceived as being kind of an adult destination, because of its nightlife and all that. There is just such an amazing diversity that there really is something for everybody, just depending on what you choose to experience over here. There is the Los Angeles Zoo, which is located in Griffith Park. West Hollywood does not have any souvenir shops per se; most of the souvenir shops can be found on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood.
