Do Major Corporations Like GE Provide Wind Energy?

Do major corporations like GE provide wind energy? Corporations that supply wind energy include Shell Oil and GE. Companies that purchase wind power include Kinko's and the United States Air Force. Sure....

Sure. You have got big companies on both sides of the equation. You have got big companies that are now members of our association that are, you know, making money or hoping to get money from the wind industry and that includes GE because GE is now the largest US turbine manufacturer because they purchased an independent wind turbine manufacturing organization back in 2002. But they have been putting a lot of their resources into wind power and they just launched their "Eco-Imagine" campaign. Shell Oil is one of the top five owners of wind facilities. You know, there are some large companies that are getting involved in that side.

And, then on the other side - purchasing - a lot of superconductor facilities are big purchasers of wind energy. There are a couple of Air Force bases as well and other military bases, but probably the Air Force is doing a little bit more relative to other military bases. But there are some consumer product companies that are also buying a lot of wind power like Kinko's. Kinko's is a leader in buying wind power and I think Johnson and Johnson is buying a lot of green power.
