Step 1
Close your hand in a fist. This is the biggest part of your hand that the wristband will need to get over. Measure all the way around the biggest part of your fist with your measuring tape. Take note of the measurement.
-
Step 2
Protect your workspace area by laying down a sheet of newspaper.
-
Step 3
Purchase a silicone sheet from the craft store. If your local craft store doesn't have any silicone sheets you can buy a silicone baking sheet. It is basically the same thing. Place the sheet on the newspaper.
-
Step 4
Cut out a rectangle from the silicone sheet. You can do this with your utility knife. Use the measurement you got from step one for length on both sides. For width, use your own preference. To keep the edges straight, use a ruler or the edge of a book.
-
Step 5
Find the ends of your rectangle and wrap them around until they touch. Place some adhesive in between the ends and hold closed with a clothes pin. If you don't have a clothes pin you can use a crafters clamp. Keep the clothes pin or the clamp on until the adhesive completely dries.

Step 6
Take a permanent marker of your color choice and write a message on the bracelet. You could also write your name or the name of the person you made the wristband for on the wristband.
