Making a long distance relationship work, and how to over come the odds of time pressing on your relationship.
How can you make it work? How can you someone you love them if you are not there? Is the test of time too strong to overcome?
The answer is.. it depends on how much you want it to work. True love can overcome any odds thrown in its path if you want it bad enough. So the question is how do you do it? Well I do not think that anyone knows exactly how to make it work, but we sure can give you ideas on making it work.
First of all, talk; on the phone, computer, whatever you style. Make sure that when you do speak to one another that you let each other know how you are feeling even if it is bad. Talk about what you have been doing, how your days have been going, what is going on in your lives. Remember the more that the other person knows about what you are doing the more they will feel like they are there with you when you go through your day. Talk about what you are going to do when you see one another, plan a special day where you two are the only two that matter. No matter what it is you do, make sure it is together and each person wants to do it. Talk about your dreams with one another, your fears, your hopes, what you want it in life. Sometimes getting to know one another more and more intimately will help you feel close even though you are so far away.
Another thing you can do, if you do not have the money to spend on phone calls, or just because; write a letter, once again on the Internet, or a personal written one. Trust me men, you want to melt a girl's heart write her a love note, even if you are a horrible writer we love it. Make the letter personal, letting them know once again how you feel, and what you want out of life and the other person. Let them know that you are thinking of them, and that you miss them (do not be scared to be personal, that is the only way love works). Let them know how you cannot wait until you two are together again in one another's arms. Tell them about your fantasies with them. Let them know that you count the days until you see one another.
Or you can even send a little gift of flowers to the one you love. Sometimes a little unexpected something is a way to let the person know you are thinking of them and that they are important to you. Even if it is nothing more than a card it shows they mean enough to you that you can take the time to let them know. It never takes much money to show a little love with a small gift. But her or him their favorite candy, or wine and send it, with a little note: cannot wait till we share this together. Trust me, it works.
When you two are together make the most of your time. Make sure you do something very unforgetable. Take a walk in the park, have a picnic, walk on the beach, or just rent a movie and spend the evening cuddling. Some other things that are great to know one another intimately and make it unforgetable is turn off the phone, the TV, turn off everything and spend the evening together learning everything inside and out about one another. Lay there and give back rubs, a scented bubble bath, read a book, put some candles out of spend the evening having each other perform each other fantasies.
Remember no matter what it is that you do to show that you love them, and that it comes from the heart. True love is something special and hard enough, do not think of the distance as a obstacle think of it as a goal that you two will someday over to be together.
