They sure are. Even though about 84 or 85% of our calls come from women, we do have a small percentage of men that call the hotline and they do experience domestic violence in heterosexual and homosexual relationships. So we definitely find that men are definitely victims as well. Increasingly, we see a lot more men coming forward because it is such a social stigma. Men are taught by society to focus on their masculinity and if they are being beaten up or physically or verbally abused it's harder for them to come forward because they feel like they have got to live up to this macho persona that has been perpetuated by our communities.
