Look at the wattage; the higher the wattage the better. For example, an 1100 watt microwave is going to cook better than a 900 watt unit. Another thing you want to look at besides the wattage is how many different cooking cycles the microwave has. The cooking cycles control the amount of time the magnet applies heat as well as the wattage comes out of it. Whirlpool does make G2 microwave and not only does that regulate the heat; it also regulates the wattage even more. That way as your food cooks, you can get the same sort of texture you would if you are baking it in the oven and grilling it out in a grill.
