Mount Dora, Florida is about 45 minutes Northwest of Orlando. We are a community of Orlando. The population is around 11,000 in our town, and it is growing. We have a unique landscape for Florida because we are hilly. We are actually considered a mountain with the lowest point at 184 feet. Technically a mountain is considered at 184 feet. Our terrain is very hilly and most of all it's very flat and very tropical looking. We have people who say it reminds them of New England. We have big oak trees and pines. We have palm trees and things like that as well. Another thing, we are in Lake County. We have 1400 named lakes. We have a beautiful, beautiful area. People come here and they get blown away. It is like something you have never seen before in Florida. It is just absolutely gorgeous and beautiful.
