How Much Can I Expect To Pay My Mortgage Professional?

How much can I expect to pay my mortgage professional? Depending on your mortgage agent and what you can afford, you will compensate them for their time and advice. That really depends on the individual...

That really depends on the individual agent and the individual consumer. If the consumer that comes to the table has tons of credit issues, and then they have a really complicated file, then obviously the mortgage needs to be compensated accordingly. If someone else comes to the table and they don't really have any credit issues, their files are not really that hard, there is not a lot of paper work or whatever, then obviously that mortgage professional would be compensated less than the previous one. The industry standard is really across the board, no matter if you are dealing with someone in California or Oregon or Texas or Florida. Generally 2% give or take here and there is generally an industry standard. However, according to the individual situation, those seem to be negotiated as well. It is always disclosed upfront. If it's not paid upfront, generally it will come out at the closing.
