I mention that it's America's Walking City. The best way to view Boston is to take a walk along the Freedom Trail, which is a 2.5 mile trail that runs through the city. It is a self-guided tour. You can also have tour guides from the National Park Service take you along it as well. Along two and a half miles it hits all the major historic sites in the city; everything from Faneuil Hall market place, which is a great place to eat and shop, over to the aquarium and the North End which is an Italian neighborhood in Boston. It also goes to Paul Revere's House, the Boston Common, the Public Garden and then over to Charlestown. You visit the Navy Yard, where the USS Constitution also known as "Old Ironside," is located.
