There are indeed energy efficient homes. Now, you can find ratings on homes to describe their efficiency. The ratings of residential structures can be rated as one star, two star, and so on. It is very, very important that a consumer be aware of the systems available. People should have the rating system applied to the structure as they are en- visioning building it.
We tend to focus on the aesthetics of home ownership. We look at things like upgrades. Do I want the slate tiling in the entryway? How about the thicker carpet pad? We tend to look at those things. I am not saying it is wrong. Of course we look at style. We are humans, and we want our home to be a reflection of who we are.
