Well, there are different types. You can have what they call phase inspections. As a home is being built, you can have an inspector go out and check the foundation forms and everything else before they pour the concrete. You can have an inspector come out and check the framing, and the rough plumbing, and the rough electrical system, before they put the dry wall on. That's what we call a phase inspection.

Or you can wait until the home is completely built and the inspector can go out and just do a home inspection. It's a really good idea especially today, because these homes are being thrown up so quickly by these companies that go out and hire these totally unskilled, unqualified laborers to build their homes for them. There are more defects in new construction than there are in older constructions. In the past, in order to work as an electrician, you had to be an apprentice or journeyman for years. Now, you've got these "electrical contractors" or "plumbing contractors" or "roofing contractors." Basically, you can have a guy that doesn't even know diddly-squat about what he is doing. So having a new home inspection is a very good idea.
