Ibiza is a mecca for nightlife and clubbing, and for visitors looking for a good time, they will not leave disappointed. But having a clue as to what you're looking for and where you'll end up is always a good thing on this isle of madness. With something for everyone, you can have the time of your life if you just take a moment to decide what you want. For all time of day or night, Ibiza has a wide range of offerings and party locations. Everything from themed bars and pubs, to massive discos and dance floors, to the after-hours parties that keep things going until dawn, there is no lack of entertainment on this island.
Pre-party Locations:
Perfect for getting geared up to go out, these bars serve up drinks in the early afternoon and late into the evening. Come between 5 and 7, when the afternoon sun has begun to set and the beach goers begin to come in and enjoy themselves. With happy hours galore and a wide selection of free shots and complimentary drinks, these locations can get the party started like nothing else.
Rock Bar and Base Bar - Two next door locations, favorites for local celebrities and visitors alike. These two bars have a very lively crowd, and are famous for serving up free drinks and shots to get the party started. Don't miss out on this wild scene, where meeting people and raising excitement is all part of the experience.
Cafe Del Mar - One of the trend-setting chill out bars in the world, Cafe Del Mar is well known for its down tempo music and lively atmosphere. Located right on the waterfront, the cafe is a traditional place to catch the sunset and relax with a drink while making conversation with the tables around you. Though trendy, the Cafe is welcoming of all varieties of visitors, and the place maintains a relaxed and cool atmosphere even on the hot and wild Ibiza nights.
Beach Bars:
For those sunny days when you just feel like lying on the beach and having a drink, there are loads of beach bars in Ibiza waiting to help you relax in the sun. The most popular beach location on the island is the Playa d'en Bosa, which is located south of the main town.
Bora Bora - One of the famous bar locations on the island, Bora Bora is right on Playa d'en Bosa. With extra-loud music played out over the beach, the bar is great for those looking to get a quick tan in before the night comes. The party doesn't stop at Bora Bora when the sun sets, however, as the club is open for dancing well into the night.
Kenya Bar - Another large bar with a seaside view, Kenya Bar has a pool for daytime relaxing, but really gets going once the sun sets. Their early evening crowd is enthusiastic and friendly, and for an early stop during the night this is a perfect place. The music is an unusual mix of house and African beats.
Clubs:
With so many options to choose from, and so many world-class clubs and dance halls, it's hard to decide where to spend the night partying. Thankfully, clubs stay open until at least 6am, giving you plenty of time to try them out and see what you like. Be warned though, almost all clubs charge a hefty entrance fee and drinks are extremely expensive, so don't go out unless you're able to spend the cash!
Amnesia - Quite possibly the world's most famous club, Amnesia is one of the hottest spots on Ibiza. With the legendary foam party, in which huge clouds of foam can reach up to 6ft high, enveloping dancers, this is a place to let your inhibitions run free. With DJs from around the world, including the most famous names, there is always a party and some good music at Amnesia.
Pancha - One of the oldest clubs on the island, Pancha continues to grow in popularity and size, with over 15 bars and dance rooms today. The club features something for everyone, and the diverse clientel can mingle and dance together all night long.
Privilege - Claiming the largest dance floor in Ibiza is no mean feat, but Privilege seems to have topped them all. With a huge swimming pool for a late night dip and a very select and prestigious VIP section, the club is an experience unto itself. As famous for its wild past as its trendy present, Privilege is a mainstay of Ibiza clubs.
