Checks are still used to pay for numerous things even with all of the electronic payment options existing. Checks are designed in an endless array of styles. You can choose checks for either personal or business use. These are created with assorted scenes, pictures or plain, in various fonts and are obtainable in a range of amounts. Ordering checks online is convenient, fast and simple. Only a few basic checking account details are required to order checks online.
    Order Checks Online
    • Step 1

Order checks online from your financial institution. You can often order checks directly from your bank's website. Sign in to your checking account. Look for a link for ordering checks on the page. It may be located under "Customer Service" or try the sitemap. You will not have to supply your personal or bank account information. See what types of checks are available, choose the design you want, supply any additional information necessary and place your order. The fee for the checks can probably be deducted directly from your checking account.
    • Step 2

Order your checks using one of the numerous online check printers. Look over the various online websites offering check printing (see References below). The process is the same on all websites with a few exceptions, but the prices and selections will differ. Gather all of your checking account information (or an old check) and select an online check printing website to use.

    • Step 3

Decide on the basic details of your checks. Choose the type of checks you need from business or personal. Select the format of the checks. This could consist of the following: single wallet, duplicate wallet, top stub, side tear, desk set, business, payroll, laser and inkjet or continuous feed. Pick a background or "theme" for your checks. Some of the online websites permit you to upload your own pictures.
    • Step 4

Fill in your personal and checking account information. Choose the type of font you want. Insert your name, address and phone number (optional). Supply your bank's name and address. Type the bank routing number and your checking account number when requested. Choose the starting check number and the quantity of boxes you need. Place your order.
    • Step 5

Verify and pay for your check order. Confirm all of the information is correct. Make any adjustments. Choose the type of shipping, if offered. Supply information for payment of the check order. Pay for your order and keep a copy of it.
    • Skill: Moderately Easy
    • Tip: Getting checks from your bank is the safest way to order checks online. The cost may be higher and the variety of styles may be less than found at other online check printing websites.
