Step 1
Go to the florist and order the flowers to have them delivered. The advantage to this is that you can be the one to hand-select the specific flowers that will be delivered. You will also be able to include a hand-written sentiment card with the arrangement. The disadvantage to this is that you have to drive to the florist, and the person to whom you want the flowers delivered must be within the florist's delivery zone.

Step 2
Call a florist in the location of the person to whom you want flowers delivered. Start by calling directory assistance in the town, or by accessing yellow pages. This is a good method if you are traveling out of town or do not have Internet access. There are disadvantages of this method of flower delivery, however. First, unless the florist is certified you cannot see what you are getting, and will often have to describe the flowers you want delivered. It is also difficult to know whether the florist you choose is reliable without any type of feedback from other customers.

Step 3
Go online. Going online offers a wider range of options than hand-selecting a florist or calling one up blindly. When online you can search for a florist and read reviews of the different florists in the area, making it easier to find the one that best suits your needs. You can see pictures and select the exact arrangements you would like delivered (although there may be few guarantees as to the quality of the flowers). There is also an option to write out the sentiment you want on the accompanying card, which will prevent mistakes being made by the florists.
