I definitely think it does. Chemical fertilizers definitely work. There is no doubt about that, but organic gardening does work very well if done properly. Organic is tricky, though, because you have to think a little bit more. A typical person, a typical gardener, is going to have to read and follow directions carefully in order for it to work. They are going to have to know what they are getting into. Organic processes work in the long run just as efficiently, but sometimes they take a little bit longer for you to actually see the results and that's the hardest thing. I had a couple of customers come in that were trying do organic gardening, and they said that it was just not working. The funny thing is that these are customers who have been using chemical fertilizers for years and they are trying to switch over to organic fertilizers, but expecting instant results. One of my customers had a tomato crop, and he had always used Miracle Grow. His dad used Miracle Grow. And he said, "I hate to tell you this, but I had more success when I was using the Miracle Grow." Well, as it turns out, he didn't have very good soil, so it's all like going from basically using drugs to using vitamins. So there is going to be a little bit of time lapse while you recondition your soil a little bit. Honestly, there are times when it doesn't work as well, and that's usually a time issue. It is just a matter of being willing to wait.
