Step 1
Search MySpace. Almost everyone has an account on here, and you can learn a lot about someone from their MySpace page. You can find out the area in which they live, who their friends are, their likes (movie preferences and favorite book, for instance) and their dislikes (pet peeves). Many bosses are even searching possible employees' profiles on MySpace to learn more about them before they make a hiring decision.

Step 2
Search Facebook. Pictures can sometimes speak louder than words. You can learn what a person likes to wear, what she likes to eat or drink, what kind of pets she has and who her friends are.
-
Step 3
Go to ZabaSearch and type in the name of the person you want to know more about. ZabaSearch is free and will come back with birth dates, addresses, phone numbers and more. If you want a full background check, you will need to pay, but the basic information is free.

Step 4
Use ReverseLicensePlate.com to locate a person when you don't have any other information. This can be helpful if you witness a hit and run or you were in a fender bender.

Step 5
Ask family and friends. You can learn a lot about a person by contacting his friends and family members. You can find out his likes and dislikes. You should already have a relationship with the person from whom you are trying to get information, or she may be less inclined to speak with you. She has to know that your intentions are good.

Step 6
Check SexOffender.com to find out if the person is a registered sex offender. Just click on the state and then the county. Some states allow you to search by name, while others only allow you to scroll through the list.
